Girls in class

Education isn’t always deemed an option for girls in Tanzania, particularly in remote, rural areas. FGM is conducted to help secure a higher dowry, with those girls who are cut often then married to older men from a young age. At this point their education will usually stop.  When welcoming girls to our safe houses, we ensure education plays a key role. By educating girls – their opportunities as women are broadened.

In order to help them achieve their career dreams and aspirations, you can now sponsor the education of girls in our care. We have outlined some of the current requirements including the roles in which each girl wants to make their stamp on the world.

Our sponsorship programme ensures all funding from a sponsor will go solely towards the educational costs of the girl they have chosen to support.
