Capel Y Nant Clydach visiting Hope

Hope were delighted to welcome Rev Alan from Capel Y Nant Clydach on Saturday, 26th. He met Ms Rhobi Samwelly and the staff from Hope. Rev Alan was welcomed by traditional dance from Hope Culture Group and saw the works done by HGWT, among which bags and soap. He was also able to have a walk around and share stories and impressions about the strengths and challenges of HGWT.

Visitors from US Embassy

On October, 22nd, we received visitors from the US Embassy who came to see the field work that our organisation is doing.

In the pictures, you can see Andy Karas, as Mission Director, Grey Sagaas Health Project Officer and Alex Larrieux, Project Manager from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) greetings and talking with our staff.

Mission Director from USAID in Tanzania Mr Andrew Karas has appreciate the work done by HGWT in rescuing girls and protecting them against FGM, as well as providing a safe place for girls in Tanzania.

Rhobi featured on Podcast Africa

Our director, Rhobi Samwelly, joined the The Aubrey Masango Show to discuss about her personal experience of being forced to undergo female genital mutilation (FGM) as a child, which inspired her lifelong commitment to fight for the rights of girls and women to be free from this terrible practice..

International Day of the Girl Child

We were delighted to participate in this important event! Thank you to everyone who took part.

Moreover, we recently held a girls empowerment session at Mugumu in Serengeti District organised by Grumeti Fund! More than 900 girls attended, and FGM education, GBV and other topics were delivered.
